Prajjwal Chowdhury (b. 1980) Handpainted on matchboxes 17.5 x 43 Inches Prajjwal Choudhury is known for turning everyday objects like matchboxes into captivating works of art. He studied at Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata and Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda and has also taught at Baroda’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Choudhury draws inspiration from famous artists such as Andy Warhol Picasso and Subodh Gupta incorporating their influence into his unique approach. By using a mix of colours and intricate designs he invites viewers to see familiar objects in new and imaginative ways.

Bound in dark blue cloth retaining the original upper cover with designs in gilt by T Sturge Moore. The Crescent Moon by Rabindranath Tagore is a collection of poems and verses written in the early 20th century reflecting the spiritual and artistic explorations of its time.
