A handsome and substantial two-part breakfront cabinet constructed of a rich, dark tropical hardwood (likely Teak or Rosewood). The cabinet is comprised of an upper and a lower section, each featuring a pair of hinged, glazed doors.

The piece is distinguished by elegant, detailed scroll and vine relief carving along the top cornice and the waist dividing the two sections, demonstrating fine traditional craftsmanship. The base is shaped and rests on four stylized, slightly curved legs.

With six internal shelves across both sections, this cabinet is highly versatile, perfect for use as a grand bookcase (bibliothèque), a china cabinet (vitrine), or a display unit for a significant collection. The dark patina of the wood and the clean glass fronts give it a commanding presence, characteristic of the best Colonial-era furniture produced in the Indian Subcontinent.

Condition - Two legs are broken off but remain available for restoration. Overall structure retains integrity.
