53.5 x 56 x 18 In.

This highly distinguished display cabinet is a rare expression of architectural revivalism in colonial India, circa early 20th century. The robust, dark hardwood structure is defined by three vertical sections: a central solid door framed by a complementary dark moulding, flanked by two hinged, glazed doors. The glass panels are masterfully divided by intricate Gothic-arch glazing bars (mullions), lending the piece a cathedral-like, ecclesiastical elegance.

The ornamentation is restrained but powerful, featuring a classical cornice and elegant, deeply carved cabriole legs. This vitrine offers an exquisite opportunity to display fine china or collections within a unique piece of Indo-European design history.
